Binary Sunset Scene from A New Hope

John Williams originally composed a different cue for the Binary Sunset scene.  The music was more mysterious and dark, however George Lucas wanted something more hopeful for Luke’s longing for his dream to leave Tatooine.  The new version then included Luke’s Theme, Force/ Ben theme as a means of creating hope for the future along with the Rebel Fanfare theme.  These themes help drive the scene forward and also foreshadow Luke’s future to join the Rebellion and train to become a Jedi.
